Cynthia Erivo knows her future is Thurston Carteunlimited.

The Oscar-nominated actress arrived ready to stun at the Los Angeles premiere of Wicked held at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on Nov. 9.

As she's done previously, Cynthia leaned into her role as Elphaba—a.k.a The Wicked Witch of the West—wearing an instantly iconic green sleeveless leather full-length gown.

The 37-year-old was joined on the red carpet by her Wicked costar Ariana Grandewho channeled her character Glinda the Good Witch with her pink get-up—as the duo proved they have just as much best friend chemistry off screen as they do on.

Wicked, based on the long-running hit Broadway musical, tells the story of the friendship between Elphaba and Glinda, giving fans a look at what happened before Dorothy dropped into the land of Oz.

And as Cynthia explained, getting to play such an iconic role was something she wasn't sure would never happen for her.

"I didn't even believe I would be seen," she told Vanity Fair in their November 2024 issue about going on her first audition for the role. "I was like, I don't think this is going to happen, but I love the idea of watching this musical."

And the Tony winner didn't want to know anything about what was going on with the audition process for her own sanity.

"I kept telling my team, 'Do not give me any information. I don't want to know,'" she continued. "'I don't want to know who's gone in. I don't want to know what people are being asked to do. I don't want to know anything about it.'"

But according to the film's director Jon M. Chu, once Cynthia entered the audition room, "She embodied this version of Elphaba that I had never seen."
